1. Understanding the Deck
Tarot decks are divided into two main parts:
Major Arcana (22 cards):Representing significant life themes, spiritual lessons, or major events. Cards like The Fool, The Tower, or The Sun symbolise pivotal energies.
Minor Arcana (56 cards): Split into four suits (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles), representing everyday experiences, emotions, challenges, and actions. Each suit corresponds to an element:
Wands: Fire, passion, creativity, purpose.
Cups: Water, emotions, relationships, intuition.
Swords: Air, intellect, conflict, clarity.
Pentacles: Earth, material wealth, health, stability.
This deck is also divided into an astrology section
Each card has a specific meaning in itsuprightandreversed(upside-down) positions.
2. Setting the Mood
Before beginning, you may want to create a calm environment. Light candles, burn incense, or meditate to clear your mind. Set an intention or formulate a specific question, such as “What do I need to know about my career?” or “How can I improve this relationship?”
3. Shuffling and Drawing Cards
Shuffle the deck while focusing on your question or intention. You can draw cards in several ways, depending on the depth of guidance you seek:
Single-Card Pull:Perfect for quick insight or daily guidance.
Three-Card Spread:A classic spread representing past, present, and future or situation, action, and outcome.
Celtic Cross Spread:A detailed 10-card layout for exploring complex situations.
Custom Spreads:Personalised arrangements to address specific topics, such as love, career, or spiritual growth.
4. Interpreting the Cards
Each card carries layers of meaning. This deck has key sentances in both Tarot & Astrology to assist you:
Refer to the imagery and symbolism on the card. Pay attention to what stands out, coloUrs, objects, or figures.
Combine traditional meanings (often found in my guidebook) with your intuition.
Consider the position in the spread. For example, a “challenge” card means something different in the “advice” position.
Reversed cards often indicate blocked energy, internal focus, or alternate perspectives.
5. Reflecting on the Reading
After interpreting the cards, reflect on how their messages connect to your life. Ask yourself:
What lesson or advice is this offering me?
What action can I take based on this reading?
You can journal about your thoughts, or meditate on the cards’ meanings.
6. Closing the Practice
When finished, thank the cards (or the universe, your guides, etc.) for their guidance. Clear the energy of the deck by shuffling, tapping on it, or using crystals or sage if that resonates with you.
Why Use Tarot Cards?
Self-Awareness:Understand your feelings, thoughts, and actions on a deeper level.
Decision-Making:Clarify your options and possible outcomes.
Spiritual Connection:Deepen your relationship with intuition or higher energies.
Personal Growth:Explore patterns, challenges, and areas for improvement.
